Welcome to Nantwich & District Scottish Society

See our Diary Page for details of planned events

Owing to the Covid-19 situation we have not been able to meet for dancing since March 2020. We have been getting together on Zoom for on-line events. Further information is available on our Newsletters Page. Our Diary Page has full details of the events planned for 2021-22.

Hurrah! Dancing starts again at Wistaston Memorial Hall on Monday 6th September 2021. The class will run from 7.30 to 9.30 p.m. and we shall take it gently until we return to “dance fitness”.

Our Summer 2021 Newsletter (“Back to Dancing”) was mailed to all members on 13 August 2021. You can download a copy from our Newsletters Library.

We could not hold our traditional Christmas Charity Raffles last year, so instead, we decided to support Nantwich Food Bank. Our Virgin Money donation page remained open to the end of February 2021. In that time our members raised a total of £728.95 (including Gift Aid) – well done, everyone!

There’s more to us than Scottish Country Dancing. We are a Society that welcomes all who are interested in the songs, dances, traditions and culture of Scotland. We meet for dancing on Monday evenings from September through to May and arrange a wide range of social events throughout the year, including a Traditional Burns’ Night, Countryside walks, informal lunches and afternoon teas, slide-shows, talks and quizzes.
